Construction Supervision Is Cheaper Than the Redesign You Didn't Budget For

A design can be perfect on paper and still go wrong on site — a contractor substitutes a material, a trade sequence gets compressed to save time, a detail gets value-engineered on-site without anyone upstream signing off. Supervision exists to catch that before it's cast in concrete or buried behind drywall.
On the hotel staff accommodation project in Warsan, our site team caught a waterproofing detail at the courtyard-facing units that would have been far more expensive to fix after handover than during the pour. That's the job in one sentence: it's cheaper to stop a mistake on site than to fix it after residents move in.
