In the year 2000, the Government of Dubai announced the development of a Free Zone for IT Parks. The criteria were that the buildings were to be designed as low-cost in terms of architectural and structural designs, while employing high-end IT related building services. Our objectives for the concept was to notionally connect all the four buildings. The imaginary diagonal axes were formed to create a bond between buildings and to achieve notional connection, visually, by placing entrance to the building on the axis.
This office facility was designed as ‘Core and Shell’ with small units, flexibility in leasing units, to attract startups, incubating as well as established brands in IT industries.
